Layout Summary — U-Shape:
1. Main Run (3110mm): 250 pull-out larder · 800 cooktop · 450 prep · 850 sink · 760 drying. Cooktop left-aligned at 250mm from wall (center 615mm). Wall cabinet 1350×350×1060 flush against left wall: 165 duct + 900 hood (centered over cooktop) + 285 usable storage. Front: 165 filler + 2×450 hood doors + 285 storage door. Ducting exits left wall. Window over sink.
2. Living Side (1900mm): 625mm 3-tier drawers (cutlery / cups / tall items) + 1275mm double-door cabinet (1 adjustable shelf).
3. Dining Side (1300mm): 700mm 2-tier drawers (plates / linens) + 600mm double-door cabinet (1 adjustable shelf).
Base body: 850mm tall (750 body + 100 plinth) · 600mm deep. Quartz counter sits on top (+30mm).

⚠ Contractor Notes:
Door finish: Mieco 1076 Candid Ginger on every door + drawer front (kitchen is single scheme only). Order swatch before commit.
Hardware: Silver round knobs (#C0C0C0 fill / #A8A8A8 stroke), 25–30mm diameter, M4 bolt-through. Matches wardrobe khaki variant.
Knob placement: Base doors → knob at TOP (counter-side, opening edge). Upper hood doors → knob at BOTTOM (counter-side). Drawers → centered on face.
Induction cooktop (730×430): Positioned LEFT-aligned in the 800mm zone — cooktop left edge at 250mm from wall, right edge at 980mm. Center at 615mm (aligned with hood above). Leave a 30mm ventilation gap BELOW the cooktop (for its internal cooling fan) — do not seal the top of the cabinet against the cooktop underside. Induction itself runs cool.
Hood cabinet (1350×350×1060): Flush against left wall. Internal: 165mm duct compartment (left) + 900mm hood (centered over cooktop at 615mm from wall) + 285mm usable storage compartment (right). Ducting exits LEFT WALL via horizontal run from hood top-left. Front face: 165mm fixed filler panel (left, hides duct) + 2 hood doors × 450mm + 285mm storage door — all matching Mieco 1076 finish. Door 3 (285mm) is narrower than ergonomic ideal but workable for shallow cabinet with low-frequency access (spice jars, tall narrow bottles).
Cabinet 1a — pull-out spice larder: 250×750×600mm pull-out unit (Häfele TAL-300 or Blum Space Tower). 5 internal tiers for spices/oils/tall bottles. Single handle pulls the entire tower forward on full-extension runners. Budget +RM 600–900 vs a hinged door.
Sink cabinet (850mm, holding 760×520 undermount sink): NO internal shelves — full clear height for water filter + plumbing. NO built-in bin (no room with plumbing). Add 2× door-back baskets for soap/sponge. Freestanding bin goes under drying side.
Counter overhang: Quartz is 620mm deep, cabinet body 600mm — 20mm forward overhang for finger clearance when opening doors. Back of counter sits flush against wall/backsplash.
Plate baskets: Cabinet 4 drawers 2 & 3 — install vertical plate basket / bowl basket inserts (拉篮支架) for self-draining storage.
Adjustable shelves: Cabinet 1a (buffer), 1b (cooktop), 2 (prep) + Living-side and Dining-side right cabinets — side-mount pin holes for repositionable shelves.
Sockets (backsplash): Min 2 sockets right side (drying zone — water dispenser + handheld blender), 1 socket left (buffer — handheld mixer/standby). Plan with electrician before tile install.
Open spice shelves (NOT in contractor scope): Owner will mount open shelves on the left-of-window wall area separately. Do not quote or install.
✅ Owner Tips:
Sink cover: Order a solid wood cover (e.g. teak) for the 760×520mm sink. Covered sink + 450 prep counter = 1210mm continuous prep surface — ample for dumpling-making or filleting fish.
Drying zone: ~580mm of free counter after the LG Puricare 518 (180mm wide). Fits a 2-tier dish rack comfortably.
Buffer cabinet (250mm): Great candidate for a slim pull-out spice rack insert — uses the full 750mm height for 4–5 shelves of condiments.
Workflow: Left → right flow = buffer → stir-fry → prep → wash → dry. No backtracking, no crossing paths.
Cleaning: White quartz + cream doors show oil splatter — wipe down at end of each cooking session. Mieco laminate is wipe-clean (no waxing).
Soft-close: All doors and drawers — Blum/Hettich soft-close hardware throughout.
Knob touch-up: Silver knobs may collect fingerprint marks at counter-edge — keep a microfibre cloth in drawer 1 (cutlery drawer).
U-shape access: Standing in the U, you can reach all three counters in one step. Leave ≥1100mm clear floor between opposing cabinets for two-person cooking.
